Overview

Steel-lined plastic electrolytic cells are widely used in industrial pickling industries such as metallurgy and electroplating:
1. Used for pickling the surface of titanium-nickel alloy, stainless steel and other copper and aluminum metals to remove oil and rust;
2. Promote the removal of stubborn oxide scale on the metal surface

Surplus designed process and rinse tanks are constructed from a single sheet of application specific plastic material that is CNC machined and then folded into the form of your tank using the “ORIGAMI” method. Welded corners can create particle/contamination traps and can leak due to workmanship, thermal cycling, and/ or prolonged chemical exposure. However, the “ORIGAMI” method minimizes welding and provides smooth, seamless, rounded interior corners.

The “ORIGAMI” design and fabrication approach combined with over 40 years of wet process experience provides optimum process and rinse results at the lowest possible cost.

PTFE tanks are available in configurations for all substrate and cassette sizes in standard or custom designs. Review your tank application and requirements with our sales staff to receive a cost-effective quotation in a timely manner. Sales drawings of standard tanks are available upon request.

Anodizing
Anodizing is an electrochemical process of converting a metal surface into an oxide layer. Mainly aluminum is used for anodizing, although other nonferrous metals, such as titanium and magnesium, can also be anodized. The metal part is connected as the anode and immersed into an acid electrolyte bath, where an electric current is applied to grow the oxide layer from the piece. The resulting surface finish will provide functional properties as corrosion-resistance and durability, as well as decorative properties. Surplus heaters provide beautiful, precise finishes. Surplus power supplies deliver high current, high accuracy, and high energy efficiency to meet a modern anodizing process's requirements.
